ATL Late-Fee PSID Help

Generate and pay the Section 182A surcharge PSID needed to restore late-filer ATL status.

A PSID is the 17-digit payment code generated through the Federal Board of Revenue's e-Payments system to pay tax and charges such as the Section 182A surcharge for restoring late-filer Active Taxpayer List status.

How to pay this late fee, step by step

  1. 01Go to e.fbr.gov.pk and log in.
  2. 02Click "e-Payments," then "Create Payment," then "Income Tax."
  3. 03Pick the tax year you are filing late for. Under "Tax Payment Nature," choose "Misc," which is short for Miscellaneous.
  4. 04Choose the correct payment type: "Section 182A - Surcharge for ATL." This step matters a lot. Do not pick a different section by mistake. If you do, your payment will not count toward getting you back on the list.
  5. 05The system will show the amount you owe. For one person, this is Rs 25,000.
  6. 06Confirm your phone number and email. Click "Generate." You will get a 17-digit payment code, called a PSID.
  7. 07Pay this code using any Pakistani banking app, an ATM machine, or a bank branch. Choose "Bill Payment," then "1Bill - Tax / Govt Payments." Type in your 17-digit PSID code. Make sure it shows "FBR Income Tax" as the receiver. Confirm the payment.
  8. 08Wait for the weekly update. Once your payment shows as "Paid," the FBR will add your name back to the Active Taxpayer List. This happens during their next Sunday midnight update. You will appear on the live list by Monday morning.
