Questions

Every question, answered once.

Grouped by what you're trying to work out. Where a number is involved, the answer points you to the calculator that produces it.

Services

  • We handle tax, registration, licensing and business-compliance work in Pakistan: we tell you which requirements apply to your situation, prepare the filing, submit it, and tell you what comes next.

Process

  • You choose a service or describe what you are trying to do. We confirm the requirements and the documents needed, then begin once you have provided them.

Requirements

  • Every service page lists the documents it typically requires. Before work begins we confirm the exact list for your case, so you collect everything once.

Pricing

  • Pricing depends on the service and the complexity of your case. We confirm the fee before starting work. Government fees, where applicable, are separate and payable to the relevant authority.

Government fees

  • No. Regulator and government fees are charged by the authority and are quoted separately from our service fee.

Timelines

  • Timelines depend on the authority and on how quickly documents are provided. We tell you the expected sequence at the start and update you when a stage completes.

Remote service

  • Most work can be handled remotely. A few processes require your physical presence, biometric verification or an inspection — we flag these before you begin.

Documents

  • Documents are used only for the service you requested. Document storage inside a customer account is planned; today documents are shared and returned directly with your FILERWISE contact.

Filer status

  • Enter your CNIC or NTN in Filer Check. It explains what your likely status is, how the list is updated, and how to confirm it directly with FBR by SMS or on the FBR portal. Only FBR can confirm the final position.

  • Non-filers pay higher withholding on many everyday transactions — rent, property transfers, and more. The calculators show the filer and non-filer figures side by side on the same amount, so you can see the yearly difference for your own case.

Calculators

  • The Salary Tax Calculator applies the current slab rates to your monthly or yearly salary and shows the monthly deduction, the take-home figure and the effective rate, with a comparison against earlier tax years.

  • The Business Tax Calculator takes your taxable profit — or your income less expenses — applies the business or AOP slabs, counts tax already paid during the year and shows the balance left, including the Section 4AB surcharge where it applies.

  • IT and IT-enabled export income received through a bank in Pakistan is taxed under Section 154A, and the rate depends on PSEB registration and filer status. The Freelancer Calculator compares all four combinations on your own monthly figure.

  • Company rates depend on whether the company qualifies as a small company, a normal company or a bank. The Corporate Tax Calculator applies the right rate to your yearly profit and shows the balance after tax already paid.

  • Super tax under Section 4C is an extra charge on very high income, on top of normal income tax. The Super Tax Calculator shows the threshold and rate for your category and tax year, including the separate treatment of banks, oil and gas explorers and fertilizer sellers.

  • A tenant who is a withholding agent deducts tax from the rent under Section 155. The Rental Income Tax Calculator shows the monthly deduction, the rent you keep and the non-filer difference. This deduction is generally adjustable against your yearly tax.

Property

  • The buyer pays advance tax under Section 236K, worked out on the higher of the deed price and the FBR or DC value. The rate depends on filer status and, in earlier years, on the value band.

  • The seller has advance tax collected under Section 236C at transfer. For most sellers this can be set against capital gains tax on the same sale, so the two calculators are designed to be used together.

  • Tax is charged on the gain: the sale value less what you paid and the costs allowed. For properties bought on or after 1 July 2024 a flat rate applies to filers regardless of how long you held it; older purchases use holding-period rates.

Devices

  • The charges are FBR duties and taxes worked out by Customs on the phone's value, not a PTA fee. The PTA Calculator breaks out customs duty, regulatory duty, sales tax, income tax and the handset levy, and compares the passport and CNIC routes.
